Jury Selection To Begin In Pharmacist Murder Trial
Jerome Ersland Charged With Murder In Attempted Robbery Death
OKLAHOMA CITY -- The prosecution and defense will start the jury selection process Monday in the Jerome Ersland murder trial.
Ersland is accused in the death of a 16-year-old would-be robber Antwun Parker at an Oklahoma City pharmacy two years ago.
Jevontai Ingram and Parker were the two teens who went int the Reliable Pharmacy with masks and a gun.
Police said pharmacist Jerome Ersland shot and killed 16-year-old Antwun Parker during that robbery. Ersland said he was acting in self-defense.
Anthony Morrison and Emanuel Mitchell recruited two teens to rob the pharmacy. They have been tried and convicted of murder in the case.
Ingram pleaded guilty in the case.
Prosecutors said they expect the trial to last about three weeks.
