LOCKHEED MARTIN SUBMITS PROPOSAL FOR $600 M DEFENSE CONTRACT

Lockheed Martin announced Monday that it has submitted its final proposal revision for the Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Development and Sustainment Contract.

According to the Huntsville Times, Lockheed, which is teamed with Raytheon .. for the project, delivered its final offer to the U.S. Missile Defense Agency's GMD Joint Program Office at Redstone Arsenal on Friday.

The contract is reportedly worth more than $600 million annually with an initial period of performance of seven years.
