We thought we had won this battle after we defeated an attempt by the United Nations to “borrow” $1.3 billion from the U.S. government.

But that was before Nancy Pelosi and the big-spending liberals came to power.

Speaker Pelosi and her friends are giving your tax dollars to the UN. And now, the United Nations is planning to spend more than $2 billion to remodel and rebuild their headquarters.

UN demands U.S. cough up millions for luxurious new digs

Although famed New York businessman and developer, Donald Trump, offered to complete the UN project for one-third of what it will now cost, the United Nations wouldn’t even respond to Mr. Trump’s offer.

And the cost is escalating by nearly $20 million per month.

Apparently nothing but the best will do for the UN bureaucrats who live high on the hog in New York City—especially when you and I are footing the bill.

But that’s only part of the problem.

UN insists that the remodeling work be done by “vendors” from developing countries and countries with economies in transition

Let me translate that for you.

They want the work to be done by socialist nations, most of whom detest the United States.

In other words, the UN wants you and me to foot the bill for a bunch of anti-American countries to build luxurious new digs for the anti-American UN bureaucrats so they can continue their anti-American rant.

Does that make sense to you?

Trump’s offer would have saved more than $1 billion! But the UN bureaucrats wouldn’t even respond to him!

Speaker Pelosi and her fellow liberals in Congress claim to be the friend of America’s working men and women, but don’t hold your breath when it comes to who will be doing the remodeling of the UN with your money and mine.

And what about the security risk of letting in workers from anti-American countries?

Will these workers include those from Cuba? Or Venezuela? Or Russia? Or even Iran?

We can’t take that chance.

America is at war with terrorists who are trying to figure out a way to get into the United States.

If the UN has its way, we’ll welcome them to the United States with open arms.
